The project was made during a workshop at Arflex, Italian furniture company. The observation of the huge amount of left over material and pre-existing elements coming from furniture that the company was no longer producing lead to the idea of creating a process to assemble them in a new way. Pipistrelli is the outcome of an experimentation with structure, material and seams. An armchair and an informal seat/table whose appearance and textile construction are inspired by bats wings - Pipistrelli means bats in italian.
